It really looks like to me the Steel Bumper is the issue. I don't see any Non LE's with a Steel Bumper that has a VIN assigned.
So far that seems to be the most obvious choice, I see lots of non steel bumpers with vins and none with the steel bumper

They should probably remove it from the Mopar accessory ordering site then. Makes no sense why they would sell a $995 part individually instead of shipping out a 50k+ truck.

I agree, doesn't make much sense. There wasn't an issue with the part when I ordered on 4/29, But apparently we are all being affected that want that sweet forbidden bumper

Does anyone have a Non LE custom order with a steel bumper and a VIN #?

That number is quite skewed because the majority of orders being tracked are LEs with no option for manual. Out of the non LE orders it looks like 5 of 16 have manual for around 31%.

Hard to take the spreadsheet numbers as a sampling of the entire JT build profile across the nation. It's limited to what a few (mostly forum only) folks have provided.

If you believe the Jeep marketing hype, they "sold" all 4,190 LEs on day 1 (even though several folks have indicated they only placed their LE orders in the last day or so), and Jeep had 25,000 total JTs orders one week after order banks opened. Based on that, LEs would make up ~17% of orders. I still believe the 25k includes pre-specs. If you include pre-specs, looks like those are all automatics, so the manual percentage will be much lower.

Tracking spreadsheet doesn't reflect that ratio. Right now the sheet shows 101 JTs: 2 pre-spec, 19 custom orders, and 80 LEs. That's ~80% LEs, which is not reflective of the Jeep marketing numbers (~17%). And 101 out of 25,000 is far from a large sample set...

Same here. A friend and I ordered nearly identical Rubicons with the steel bumper on April 27. Both in BG. Has anyone edited their order to remove the steel bumper to see if it changed the status? There are probably a billion aftermarket winch-capable bumpers available.

If the priority is getting the truck ASAP I'd totally take the steel bumper off. It might not even be the cause of delays, but since JT uses the same bumper as JL I'd just grab it off craigslist. I just looked at the local Utah classifieds (no one uses craigslist here) and found two brand new steel bumpers below $800. One is under $500.

You will never figure out the production order. People have been trying for years. There is no rhyme or reason to it.

Vin numbers are not built in order.

Some say available parts or colors which hasn't turned out to be true in the past either.

I ordered my 2019 JL on the first day banks opened. People that ordered over two months after me recieved theirs first. Same color as mine and same options plus some.

Long story short, you get it when you get it and some of the unlucky ones never did and had to reorder.
