Had a great long weekend exploring the North Carolina smokies. Rented a teardrop trailer from https://www.redmountainteardrops.com/ and booked a private campsite near Cullowhee NC (https://www.hipcamp.com/en-US/north...on-outdoors-do-it-ridge#group_size=5&adults=5). Campsite is a 30 ft level mountain top but there is a very steep gravel road to get there. The 2wd 4runner that was with us couldn't make it up but we were able to pull the trailer to the top with no problem. Spent Saturday on fly fishing on the Tuckasegee river with Davidson River Outfitters and everyone caught between 10 to 20 little rainbows. Spent sunday at Kanuga Mountain Bike park before heading back to Birmingham. Jealous of everybody that gets to live up in that part of the world - had an amazing time! Would recommend 10/10. The trailer was awesome - would recommend for anyone in the Southeast looking into getting one - he sells kits for 13k or fully assembled for 18k, and rents them for around $140 a night.
