I’m looking to regear to 4.88s and was wondering if anyone had any shop recommendations in the Northern Virginia/DMV area and how much it cost.

Speaking from experience looking for the same, NOVA has too much money and prices reflect that. I was going to just shoot down to ECGS in NC but ended up leaving NOVA before I had the chance. They're the go-to for the Toyota guys on the east coast (they do third member shipping so super convenient) but I know a few happy Jeep guys who had their rigs done there as well.

I had some estimates done and this shop is asking 5k which is ridiculous. Guessing I’m going to have to travel which isn’t a problem

I had my Tahoe done here : https://witsendfabrication.com/

Kenny, the owner is a good dude. Very much attention to detail focused. He also started out with Jeep's but does everything.

I highly recommend either of the shops below. Both have worked on my Jeeps and I would not hesitate to recommend them without question.

Bull Run 4x4 - https://www.bullrun4x4.com/
Dirt Nerds - https://www.dirtnerdsmotors.com/

If willing to travel, I also recommend ECGS, several club members have used them for gear and axle upgrades and they stand by their work
