This reminds me of when I first started working for BMW. We had “Orientation” for a week, before they assigned everyone to the different areas of the plant. One of the first things they did, was to tell us the history of the company, which was basically making aircraft engines in the early 1900’s. They even went so far as to show us a razzle dazzle corporate film, and gave us a hardcover book on it. Not one mention of their war production for the Nazis, or that one of the family members was romantically involved with an SS officer.

Totally true story. Went to a High school out in farm country. It was a warm veteran's day and had no school, but had basketball practice in the morning. 3 of us decided we wanted to play golf, so we hopped in my friend's pinto and was travelling on gravel country roads to pick up our clubs. My friend lost control on the gravel and the Pinto went in the ditch and flipped on the roof. We get out and it is leaking gas. Since it was November, there was also deer hunting guns and ammo in the hatch area. We got out of the area quickly, but the damn thing never did catch fire.
