Went to a sports car meet at Deals Gap NC. Tail of the Dragon. Called ZDayZ. The one year at the Saturday night party. There was a girl dressed up in a penis suit, and a guy dressed up in a vagina suit. It was the high light of the party. They were a comedy team. Had tears in my eyes from laughing so hard. :CWL: A good time was had by all.

You don't need a CDL to drive a semi. Long as the semi has "Not for Hire" on it, no DOT number and no company logo.
Kind of, you would still need a class A. Non-commercial would work as long as there is absolutely no way you could profit from any part of the rig. Race cars, horses etc. can win money making it a commercial rig. Even farmers are not safe, Farm tags are good only for moving your own items. You bring a load of hay to sale, good; you sell it and go to deliver it on the way home, commercial because you no longer own it.
Except for inspection purposes, a semi tractor is always a Class A vehicle even without a trailer. Which means you need an A license.

Forgot about the non commercial. Seen a lot of big 45 ft class A motor homes that gross over 50,000 lbs. Dealers are telling the customer that none is needed. My last motor home was 36,000 lbs. Seen semi's pulling 5th wheels and horse trailers with the Not for Hire on the side. Talked to a few of the owners at the camp ground. Said they don't need a CDL. I have a CDL from driving commercial. I've had for so long. That I was grandfathered in when they started to use the CDL. No longer driving the Weinerbuilt. Gave that up last year.
