And that's why we've had some of our popcorn ceiling treatment removed...... house was built 1980 and of course it was used everywhere to hide imperfections. When the bathroom was redone the guy asked us what finish and we said anything BUT popcorn!
He does a nice job with a spray and then trowel to flatten it out a bit. Hard to describe, but I like it.
