AMEN!

Oh, and for those not paying attention -- fossil fuels are generating the majority of the electricity that powers those fuckers. Whoa? Wait? What?

19.8%

How much of U.S. energy consumption and electricity generation comes from renewable energy sources? In 2020, renewable energy sources accounted for about 12.6% of total U.S. energy consumption and about 19.8% of electricity generation.Nov 2, 2021

US Energy Information Administration (EIA)

And, what about the Lithium required for those batteries -- any guesses on where that comes from, and what nations we are going to beholden to get the USA to be "free" of fossil fuels?

And, where are those environmental impact studies on where/how we are going to recycle battery units?

Before I get off my soap box, I am not against electric, hybrids of any form, renewable energy, or conservation. But, common sense needs to be the key. Stop the Social Justice War on behalf of the environment.
I retired from power generation. Was a senior control operator at a natural gas fired combine cycle power plant. I was in direct contact with the grid operations (PJM). People really don't know how the electric grid works. If they did, they would be scared shitless. If 1/4 of the cars on the road right now were EV's. This country does not have the capacity to handle it. Not enough generation and the transmission lines can't handle it. Green energy is a lie. On a scale of cost per MegaWatt. Nuke is at the bottom. It's the cheapest to product. Next it was coal. But that was replaced with natural gas. Way up on the very top. The most expensive to product is Green energy. If it wasn't for the tax credits. You would see any Green energy. They operate in the red. They don't turn a profit at all. Electric is produce on demand. You can't store it. Don't tell me about storage batteries. That shit is decades from now. How are you going to store 1000 GigaWatts? When the demand goes up. The generators produce more power. The demand drops, the generators cut back. Green energy need the sun to shine and the wind to blow. Don't always happen. Can't depend on it. with the wind turbines. They are running into a problem with blade life. The life of the blades are about half of what they figured. The leading edge of the blades are being chewed up from fine particles in the air. So a lot of the turbines are not meeting their life expectancy and are coming off line. Here's a picture of a land fill full of wind turbine blades. Can't recycle them.

Where is the picture taken?

I have some idea -- but don't want to assume.
