@Rusty PW

Hey -- it may just be me -- but regardless of which device I am on, most of your memes/images you are posting are so small I have to use the Hubble Telescope to read those fuckers.
It where some of them are from. It's a mixed bag on the sizes. You should be able to see them on a 70" tv screen...................up close. LOL

@Rusty PW ... " I retired from power generation. Was a senior control operator at a natural gas fired combine cycle power plant. I was in direct contact with the grid operations (PJM). People really don't know how the electric grid works. If they did, they would be scared shitless. If 1/4 of the cars on the road right now were EV's. This country does not have the capacity to handle it. Not enough generation and the transmission lines can't handle it. Green energy is a lie. On a scale of cost per MegaWatt. Nuke is at the bottom. It's the cheapest to product. Next it was coal. But that was replaced with natural gas. Way up on the very top. The most expensive to product is Green energy. "
I also retired from power generation ... Safe Harbor Water Power (hydro) ... so called "green energy" ... i was a marketer to PJM ... our power was scheduled in the Hourly Market (PJM) in the most expensive hour of demand ... by design we made $$$$$$$ ... you are absolutely correct about the EV's cost and capacity .... as the load goes up more expensive gen goes online and we all pay more ... east of the Mississippi is PJM grid

Lighten up Francis.

It's a parody.

FFS -- my wife can probably parallel park better than I can. But, she also knows I can drive in weather better than her, and change a tire more quickly.
I was being facetious.
Maybe I should have added some wink emojis???

It's the cheapest to product. Next it was coal. But that was replaced with natural gas. Way up on the very top. The most expensive to product is Green energy. If it wasn't for the tax credits. You would see any Green energy. They operate in the red. They don't turn a profit at all. Electric is produce on demand. You can't store it. Don't tell me about storage batteries. That shit is decades from now. How are you going to store 1000 GigaWatts? When the demand goes up. The generators produce more power. The demand drops, the generators cut back. Green energy need the sun to shine and the wind to blow. Don't always happen. Can't depend on it. with the wind turbines. They are running into a problem with blade life. The life of the blades are about half of what they figured. The leading edge of the blades are being chewed up from fine particles in the air. So a lot of the turbines are not meeting their life expectancy and are coming off line. Here's a picture of a land fill full of wind turbine blades. Can't recycle them.
Nuclear is the clear answer, IDK why everyone at the table can't agree on that. As far as the grid not being ready for EVs - why can't an EV owner just have a battery wall that trickle charges itself 24/7 (if necessary) and is capable of fast charging the EV when parked? Seems simple enough to me, conceptually. Resource scarcity is a problem, but if all energy production causes environmental issues then I'm for investing in the one that might lead to sustainable innovations (Nuclear, 'Green' > Petroleum). That being said, yes my fleet fuel economy is barely in the double digits. I'd love for gas to get cheap again while we figure this out. And I agree it's expensive for a ton of reasons that don't have anything to do with its actual cost...

Or line them up in the border, make both sides happy. "Look, we recycled AND got our wall' Whatcha gonna say about that?
Genius, lol.
