On Monday my 2021 gladiator eco diesel CEL lit, I Plugged in my OBD II and it showed a single code, U0001.
I cleared the fault and it started. The weather was clear, sunny and 95 degrees. I’m not certain the steering had locked because I immediately cleared the fault without attempting to drive.
I drove to few locations to shop and then home, later that day I was going out and again I got a CEL, I noted the steering was locked when the engine started.
I cleared the same fault snd I drove a few miles. It was a during a heavy rain storm. I reached my destination and shut off the engine. When I started the engine to return home the CEL appeared, the engine would start snd the steering was locked. I cleared the fault U0001. This happened several times before I could clear the same fault and drive home. Since that series of events the fault has not recurred.
I don’t believe faults magically “self-correct”.
Has anyone experienced this problem?
