Ocala forest trail clean up

Anyone in Florida and is around. There is a trail clean up event April 26th

I am frustrated I won't be around for it. I am trying to reschedule some travel so I can be in town to go and help clean up

Bad timing if they plan on any local Jeep Club to get on board. Jeep Beach will be in full swing on that date.

I think they planned it hoping people would come while at beach week.

Took a ride through the forest yesterday, scouting for turkeys and stretching the Mojave legs out on some rough roads. Some of the main roads looked like a dump, some major drops full of household goods and furniture. I will never understand why people do this. The county dump doesn't cost that much.

It's sad. I will be out there this weekend. And I generally fill the bed with garbage each trip.

My Grandfather bought 2 acres of ONF back in the 1940's through a government program. He and my uncle built a hunting camp on the property that is still standing today, although my uncle sold it back in the 90's. I was raised learning how to drive off road in the ONF. I have seen many changes, Blue Sink getting closed, Rainbow people taking over, Roads/trails being closed and dumping of trash. It is sad.

There's a lot of human trash out there. I don't understand this myself. People are lazy......
