Offroad Pages constantly dissapears

Why would tazer matter? It can't stop an app from disappearing, nor should it be able to keep it there if there's no cell contact.

The app is always there, but only visible and accessible after the VIN verification. Apparently, the Tazer has the ability to override and tell it the VIN verification was successful.

The offroad pages normally show on the screen and work for me, but there are occasions where they'll give me an unavailable error when selected. Typically I don't use them terribly often unless towing so that should be taken into consideration as far as their frequency of available or unavailable.

I never have understood why the radio needs to periodically verify the offroad pages are authorised for your VIN, it's not like like it's a subscription that you must renew (yet). Seems to me it's something that could be done after a software update or reset then safely ignored by the radio.

Originally, the Offroad pages was a special feature only available on the Rubicon and Overland with the 8.4 Uconnect. I don't know if the current models still require the VIN verification, but I think the Offroad pages are now available to everyone with the 8.4 Uconnect.

I only know that on my 2022, with the Tazer unplugged, off-road pages never come back if I’m out of service. There’s some override it does, to enable ORP on vehicles that never had it from the factory - and do the same when my truck (which did have it) can’t contact the mothership.

I can’t tell you how much this arrangement burns my gears. At least wit the tazer it stays at a low simmer

Mine has gone out completely for over a week or so , no one at dealership has answers
