Hi Folks went out for a short spin in the wild this morning...4WD, and as always pressed my favorate button, "OFF-ROAD+"...Jeep went into OR+ np, but UCONNECT told me the same thing every time I tried it (at least 4 times) when I was expecting the off road pages to initiate - somthing like this, "this application is not accessable at this time". Everything else on UCONNECT seemed fine, I was also using the navigation app and what not....I have about 2,000 miles (what can I say, it is a pleasure craft and every mile is a pleaseure :)) and have use this function often, never a problem before.

Any ideas, suggestions, etc?

Thanks in Advance!

This has happened quite often to me lately. My "assist" light usually goes red during this time too. Takes what seems like 30 minutes to an hour of the jeep being off to reset. I thought it would continually try to reset itself during a drive, but I drove 6+ hours a few weeks ago after getting the same error and the ORP was inoperable the entire time. It seems counterintuitive that the ORP would be locked behind a cell connection, which could be hit or miss out in the woods.

It’s buggy from the factory, that much has been obvious to me. It seems to have to do some authorization check over cell, and it’s hit or miss what it will do with no cell connection. For certain, if you drag the Off Road Pages icon into the quick dock, it will routinely vanish and have to be dragged back (only when stopped! Safety first, thanks Jeep)

I can confirm that if you have a Tazer - which can enable ORP on models that didn’t come with it from the factory - it also prevents all this BS from happening on models that did come with it from the factory

Uconnect has to periodically check in with the mother ship to make sure ORP is authorized for your VIN. If there are issues with the cellular coverage, it will cause problems.

If you keep the ORP icon on the dock, you can tell by looking at it if it's done the authorization check. If you try to open it before the check is done, it will drop the ORP icon off the dock.

I have had issues only a few times when trying to open ORP. I'm in an area with good AT&T coverage, and it usually just works. I also remote start all the time, due to the temperature, so it has plenty of time to get ready.

Thanks Guys, sounds like it is one of those things not much can be done about...And yep, tried it again this morning and the ORP loaded this time...Thank Goodness this is not a "key" app for surviving in the wilderness - good grief :)...

I have my annual maintenance in a few weeks I'll ask them to look at it but I am sure they will not be able to do anything about it.

Interesting that is your experience. I have Tazer on my 23 and I still have issues w/ the pages. I also have other issues w/ tazer related to volume jumping up and certain live functions not always working each startup.
