Just for situational awareness- usually want to check the oil when off, level ground, and been sitting for 10-15 min+?

Why did you pull the dipstick out with the engine running? Inquiring minds want to know.

You’re not supposed to pull the engine oil dipstick while it’s running. You’ll effectively create a vacuum leak due to the PCV system.

Yes, this can't be stressed enough -- 10-15 mins warm, not the 5 minutes recommended in the book. I have never had a vehicle that drains oil slower than this 3.6. I just did my first oil change and it was still in a little stream -- not drips a stream, after draining for about 25 minutes. Not normal! It was a good 45 mins before it stopped dripping entirely.

Then put 5 in, drove and went to check. The oil was just at around 1/3 up the hash. I thought maybe the surface wasn't level. A week later I went to a different gas station. Filled up, then checked the oil. Now it was even lower. I went into the convenience store to buy delicious meat snacks. Then, about 20 minutes after shutting down, I checked the oil again and it was full!
