Ok, I’m stupid, need some advice

Soooo, I had some time to kill today after the dmv(rare) and decided I’d take a look at my backup camera to see if I could re-wire it to the top of my camper for a top down view since my tire carrier blocks it currently. After doing zero research, I decided to pull it apart and just figure it out. Well, I didn’t realize it was a coax cable that connected the camera and just cut it with the intention of splicing in new wiring. So now I’m trying to find a way to replace the cable and at the same time extend it about 4-5 feet to mount it above my camper.

Mopar’s website wasn’t very helpful, could not find just a part number for the wiring harness. So I’m wondering if any of you guys have any recommendations on an extension kit that may work plugging directly into to the factory harness(mounted behind the bumper)

DM @AllMoparParts.com - I'm sure they can help you in identifying the replacement wiring that you can use in conjunction with the extension cable....

If it's regular coax you may be able to just crimp on a new coax fitting and create a longer coax lead to the camera and crimp on a connector to it.

What CFLGladiator said... Just crimp a connector where you cut and run any sort of coax wire extension to any location you desire.
