They are not going on a cream puff Jeep anyway and will likely have more scratches etc. pretty soon but I’m kinda pissed about all the damage right out of the box. I got them on sale for a price I was OK with but what the heck, I still expected them to look new until I put my own marks on them. I’ll sleep on it and either take them back or install them tomorrow.

Those actually showed up better than my Poison Spyder ones.
The packing was horrible, and one corner was sticking out of the box and it must have been dropped on it, because it was bent. Since these are thick steel, it too about 15 smacks with a 32 ounce hammer to straighten it.

Get some rust oleum black paint and touch up those spots immediately.

Same experience with my ARBs. I don’t think any shipper knows what to do with something so oddly shaped and heavy.

I did the immediate touch up, get’m on, and make my own dang dings asap. With the driving you do, no one will ever notice those prenatal dents.

They do look good, and better without the logo. Do they mount to the factory rock rail spots, or tie into the body bolts?

They utilize the existing factory mounting points on the lower pinch seam, which happen to be the same mounting points that the factory Rubicon Rails use

I'm only 5'5" and between 140-150lbs, and it amazes me, how wimpy most delivery people are.
For crying out loud, your job is to carry stuff.
Lift some weights and stop eating cheetos

Final thoughts on the side steps. I did choose to install them and I’ll work out what to do about that odd oval indented shape later. It only bothers me because I know it’s there so I will eventually do something about it.

The Brute Strength side steps are only slightly heavier than the stock Rubicon rock rails.
Rubi rock rails = 35 lbs each
QT Brute Strength = 43.4 lbs each

Not a great pic but this is them installed. I do like that they aren’t really big or wide and have a pretty small profile. Of course, black against black helps them blend in also.
