2 years later and it’s still holdin up great. I only wash it a few times a year(jeep is always getting dirty). Material is good, windows are kinda scratched now but it’s expected with how many camping/offroad trails I’ve put it through. And hauling a bunch of stuff back there in general. Feel like I’ve got my moneys worth already. If it bothers me that much I think i can purchase new plastic/windows. It’s light, keeps my things dry. Perfect for what I need. It’s not for security by any means, but it’ll deter the honest thief. I would love a RSI smart cap, but they weigh a lot and cost even more. This one I can fold or remove quickly and easily by myself. Idk how long these things are suppose to last, but I plan to keep it until it’s no longer usable. Or if I upgrade to a GFC camper.

Really appreciate this thread and all the info! I have eyes one near me on FB market place. Forgive the ignorance here, as far as mounting this to the bed, would the rail system I have from getting the Bestop tonneau cover work for this Softtopper? They look similar but I'm not sure.

How much are they asking? This topper came with c clamp type mounting brackets. And a t type that goes into the rail systems similar to yours. If you buy, maybe the guy will include them. If not, it’s literally the same type of clamps that hold on camper shells . You can see them in my post above.

FYI Agricover is about to release a hard camper shell that I’m interested in. Mainly so I can strap kayaks to it. But it’s gonna stop me from ever loading up my dirt bikes back there and limit me to trailer use.

I have the outlander as well and it's been great for our use. I put it on for road trips, towing camper with the dogs in the bed. Has been really good for that and easy enough to remove to put roll up tonneau cover back on. Had to replace part of the front "window" when my dog ripped it. Put a velcro removable panel in so it can open to the can window.

I'm mildly interested in the hard top depending on price and weight as I don't want it on full time. Really like that it opens to the cab and the windows, screens, vents

Yea same with me, I like the weight and function of my outlander but being able to haul the kayaks would be nice. I fold it only a few times a year if that, like today I almost purchased a quad. Coulda just folded and brought it home.
Onto the negatives, I’ve had 1 person unzip my side zipper looking for easy grabs, luckily nothing taken. Not bad for how long I’ve had it. The hard shell would prevent that all together. If it’s under $2k I might purchase.

Looks like the hard toppers are available now. Starting at almost $2300. The one with windows, screens, all the goodies, $3300

Not in the budget for me right now but looks like a good product

Just looked at them 5 minutes ago. Everything is actually “15% off”. I think everything was 15% off when I bought my soft top from them a few years go so that might be all the time lol

-No windows is cheapest but you don’t get the positive pressure vent up top and no cab access sliding window.
-2nd you get the positive pressure roof vent and the sliding window to cab acces.
-3rd you get windows on all sides + the rest.

Decent pricing I think. Once my outlander is no longer usable I might pull the trigger. Last pic is from yesterday so I still kinda need the folding feature to avoid using my trailer.
