So I have my inverter set-up and it works all that is good.
I want to use the oem bed outlet and just wire it up to a cord I can plug into the inverter.
I already have the outlet and the connector so all I have to do is wire it, but I’m struggling to figure out how the ground pin functions in the outlet itself.
I poked around testing the wires and the load and neutral wires are there, but ground is not. I would think mopar wouldnt give the 3 prongs on the outlet if the ground wasn’t there.
So I guess I’m curious if others just connected the load and neutral and called it a day or if the inverter enable has something to do with this.
I know others have wired up the OEM outlet to their own inverters, but no one explains how they actually wired it.
The center console plug has a ground so I’m just confused why the bed outlet wouldn’t.
Also I would open the outlet to figure it out but unlike the center console outlet the bed one is completely sealed, which makes sense since it could come into contact with water, but it’s still annoying.
