Loving my new 23 Overland, it is so much more quiet and smooth driving than I would have imagined, especially compared to my brothers JL Mojave. However, I want some 'meaner' looking tires. What are the best options out there to have that cool jeep/monster tire look while still being quiet and smooth? Don't care as much about mpg as its a city dweller mostly - but would also want something I can maybe do some light trail work on.

Looking for options for the existing 18" rims - but would like to hear if I should consider 17" rims if I swapping out the tires anyways.

I'd like to slowly make this thing capable of some off roading, I have zero experience but would like to try some stuff over-time.

Hankook Dynapro ATm's. I put them on my '08 Grand Cherokee Overland (Hemi) and they were extremely quiet and could go through a foot and a half of snow, no muss, no fuss.

That's what I'm going with once my factory tires wear out. My Overland...ordered 5/19, built 6/19, delivered 7/19. I only have just under 30K on her and the tires are still good.

17s will give you more tire options, and the larger sidewalls will provide more cushion for on road comfort, as well as more air down capabilities for off road comfort.
