Eddie, thanks for creating this thread! My tarp/tent pole awning isn't going to cut it for long and the OVS 270 systems look great for the price.

I'm curious if anyone has mounted an awning directly to a fiberglass topper. I would have to figure out how to bolt one directly to my DIY camper without tearing out the fiberglass. I can't mount a roof rack.

Mike- I’m not sure how you would do that. The L shaped bracket has considerable leverage applied to it when the awning is mounted. I was actually concerned that the bolts would pull out of the T groove on the roof rack but that proved to be unfounded…

is there anyway to reinforce the area with more fiberglass or perhaps a large metal plate that can be incorporated into the design?
