Has anyone paired Ear Buds to their U-connect radio? If so how did you accomplish that? I have tried and have not been successful.

The Uconnect head unit is only intended to pair with input devices, like phones and media players. The ear buds are an output device. The head unit is intended to only output through its wired connections.

Why would you need airbuds in the truck? In addition to legal issues, you want to have the ability to hear around you...

Mr. Bill is 100% correct, Uconnect doesn’t have the threads for that transaction. I replaced my Uconnect head unit (because it sucked) to a Pioneer unit, I have wireless hearing aids that connect to the unit via wireless apple connect, I hear everything now, and I can mute everything now, even my 35 MT‘s singing a lullaby to me on the open highway. LOL.

i just leave my airpods hooked up to my phone and after connecting to uconnect (for carplay/controls) change the output of my music to the airpods. then i can still control via the radio/steering wheel, the audio is on my airpods. it's great for running doorless so i can keep the volume down a lot and still be able to hear what is going on around me, but not have the loud wind noise in my ears.
