I have two broken spring clips on my brake calipers where the pads slide. Can anyone help me confirm the correct part numbers to replace all the clips for my 2021 Willys EcoDiesel? It has the same calipers as a Rubicon. Thanks.

The Bpro clips may differ slightly from OE, I am not really sure but here are the OE ones

Tim did you perform a front brake pad and rotor change to the newer design?

- Benny
No, it’s stock. Somewhere in the past I remember identifying these as the same brake components as a Rubicon. My Willys diesel also has iron knuckles, not aluminum. I will have to double check the part numbers for the calipers. That might confirm which clips I need. Thanks

So the only problem is that the pad and rotor design changed from original. If you need to purchase a new set of pads you will also need new rotors. Just a bit of an FYI but im not entirely certain those clips will fit the old pad design.

Could you elaborate about what changed? I just installed EBC yellow pads and had no issues besides finding a broken clip at each rear caliper

I dont have engineering data on the change. The bulletin originally came out April 2023 and basically says when replacing pads use this new number along with new rotors (the numbers vary based on the application). Perhaps the friction material changed and or the pad to rotor mating area.
