Hi everyone,
I hope to get some insights from fellow Jeep enthusiasts or anyone with technical knowledge about the Jeep Gladiator Rubicon.
I was recently involved in a T-bone accident where another vehicle hit my Jeep on the right side, specifically at the right-side pillar, while I was slowly crossing an intersection.
Interestingly, only the passenger-side airbag was deployed, even though I was the only one in the vehicle. I received a light bump to my shoulder but wasn’t injured otherwise.
I’m curious about a few things:
Thanks in advance,
Mosh

I’m curious about a few things:
- Is it normal for only the passenger side airbag to deploy in a side collision, especially when there’s no passenger?
- What factors determine which airbags deploy in such situations?
- Could this be a design feature related to the location of the impact, or might it be a malfunction?
Thanks in advance,
Mosh
