I downloaded the Pedal Commander app finally after only using the device physically for about a year. Turns out they just started rolling out a new anti-theft feature that lets you lock/unlock throttle via your phone and Bluetooth.
It does oddly cost $1 a month, but it doesn’t seem that bad to me. I can’t use it much currently as I have valet parking but in a month or two I will have regular garage or street parking and will be using it daily.
If my phone ever dies or this feature fails to undo, I know I can just unplug it and plug the throttle back in like normal to resume function. With that being said I also attempted to hide the device in the passenger side dash now to make it hard to trace or notice.
I’m not here to say they are better or worse than other products, just to start discussion on a feature that doesn’t seem to be talked about.
