I don't want to say NEVER but I think this is a bit of a stretch, at least this early. While sales are slumping, this would have to mark the quickest entrance and exit for a new vehicle in Jeep history. It's one thing when the XK was introduced and just stole sales from the WK; Jeep didn't gain any market share in that instance. The JT is unlike any other offering Jeep has right now. Some might say the JL, but I would argue not even close. As a matter of fact, there are plenty of instances where I'd rather have a JLU than the JT. This 'news' was probably read on the same site suggesting the earth is flat!

I remember when everyone wanted a Jeep utility truck and the Scrambler was born. 5 years later, they couldn’t give the things away. Now, they sell for $20k+ in good condition.

Totally agree. No way I can see a discontinued vehicle after 3 years on the market

Now that my Mojave is paid off. I'm getting ready to buy a Scat pack as a second vehicle before they get discontinued. Hopefully I'll be sitting on two assets that get sent off to pasture.

Yea if you read the turd Burglers at motorbiscuit…..
On the introduction of the JT- Manly said they believed that 70k units was not only a reasonable expectation but the intended target. It is whole handedly smoking those numbers. They could’ve have sold even more without the pandemic- supply restricted.

And they sold out of the Rubicon edition for the Brazil market in less than 3 hours. Really hard to believe they would discontinue the vehicle. They might discontinue the cheapest model or some other variant, but definitely not the entire line.

So either you read the article wrong or you're stirring the pot because you bought a Toyota and want to make other owners mad. What will be discontinued is the Chevy Colorado, which will enhance the market for the Gladiator due to competition loss.

Compared to others, and relative to itself, it doesn’t appear as dismal as you’re implying OP. A link to the article would go a long way to make this a more engaging conversation (unless stirring the pot was the intention).

Gladiator is selling fine. Reality is the market as a whole is finally starting to normalize to some extent. Car sales as a whole are slowing between inflation and rising interest rates.

My honest opinion is they will put a more powerful motor in it soon to regain the minimal lost ground.
