I assumed they are static as it was phrased as “load capacity”, so for a truck bed rack if it’s a 1100 lb static load I roughly figure a 660 lb dynamic load which I’m good with.If those were dynamic weight limits, then the static would be 2 or 3 times higher.
But if that was static, then the dynamic would be awfully low.
Static, sitting still.
Dynamic, traveling down the road.
The 480 lb static would only give around 160 - 240 dynamic which is awfully low, I agree.
Hence why I’m not taking the risk on aluminum and going for the steel as I want it to be load bearing and not just a “canopy”.
