Ive run a skinnier wheel than recommended several times and never had any issues.

I will be running mine on 17x8.5 Method 308s

BTW......looks like these monsters will run very true or close to 37". Bare measurements were 36 5/8. Here a picture of one next to the 35x12.5 Nitto on my JL

I currently run 38x13.5 Patagonias on my JT on 17x9 -12 KMC's. Tires will go on those wheels if I keep the Gladiator and not accept my ordered 392....Or I will buy some 17x9 methods in bronze for the 392 and these tires will go on those. Win win either way

Thinking I should be set. I have the 2.5" Clayton overland plus on my Sport JT with -18 offset.
Did the regear to 4.88 and will be dropping in the Reid Knuckles and Teraflex HD ball joints...
