I am traveling around the country and contacted a local dealer about installing power to the bed. I was told that I needed two things...

Connector (115v) $109.25 - 68312754AC
Switch $29.90 - 68370049AA
*Labor - $600 (8 hours)

I have the Auxiliary Switch Group - but they were not sure if that would work instead of the switch mentioned above.

Has anyone gone this route? They have never done it so I think this is a bit of a guess for them. They thought it was pre-wired but I am guessing at that Labor cost it is not.

Interesting to hear what feedback comes on this. I was just looking at the Genesis dual battery kit as I want to run some lights in the bed of my truck and also some sort of power connector just to power minor things.

There's a thread somewhere from someone who tried this recently. The wiring harness to get 120v power to the bed is not installed unless the option is ordered from the factory.

Order the outlet for the bed, and then install your own inverter and run wire to the outlet. The 400 watt factory inverter is not really big enough to be extremely useful.
