I took my Jeep in for its routine oil change, tire rotation, and alignment recently. The drivers side front is about 1 degree off camber according to them.

Jeep has 17,000 miles, has a Rock Krawler 3 inch lift and 37s on proper off set black rhino wheels.

Jeep has never been ridden hard, done any serious off roading, been in an accident, or even curbed. I am the only Driver ever.

This is outside of my vehicle knowledge wheel house. I am being told my best bet is to just replace the entire axle but no one can seem to explain to me why it is not possible to figure out exactly which part of the assembly is bent or how this could have happened out of no where.

Can I get some thoughts and advice from people smarter than me on this subject please?

1 degree on a solid axle is a rounding error, and not consequential IMO. It seems you may be dealing with predators and scoundrels. That is why they cant find or show you what is "bent".

The tire on that side is wearing excessively on the inside very noticeably, so I do believe something is actually wrong. I should have included that in the first post.

And they allege the toe was dead-on and required no adjustment? For reference, many factory independently suspended cars dial in 2-3 degrees of negative camber from the factory.

Inside tire wear, if camber related, would typically signal negative camber FWIW.

17k miles is not under warranty? My 17 Jkur had a bent front axle at 10k miles but Jeep replaced it. I bought the $140 service contract so i could run 37's from Jeep they replaced no questions asked been fine since

I figured the Jeep dealer would just point at the bigger tires and lift kit and tell me to forget it.

With oversize tires and no serious use, I'd suspect a worn hub bearing or ball joint on the offending side long before the axle being bent.

It sounds like the consensus here is I need to take it to another shop and let them weigh in. I really appreciate the input and advice!

Once I take delivery of a new vehicle, my goal is to never return to the dealership unless of a mandatory recall. ?
Every time I give the dealership another shot to do things correct, they go and disappoint me again and again.

First was them putting 6 quarts of oil in (only needs 5 for the JL/JT V6), and then just the other day I was there getting some extra steering fluid, and after I give the parts counter guy my jeep info he brings me a quart of the older power steering fluid (not the electronic steering fluid ours require). I tell him his mistake, he kinda just goes "oh", and tells me they don't have the electronic steering fluid. I think to myself that if I were to have put that in my fluid reservoir I'd be on the hook for any damages, even though he looked up my vehicle specific info and sold it to me. I have zero doubt in my mind their techs would've just dumped it in if they were doing the service.

Just crazy the people they're hiring anymore.
