There is a very good place close to me that will powder coat my wheels any way or color that I want and guarantee they will not fade or turn color. Thinking about having the centers done in red. All the anodized wheels red get faded in the sun and look bad.

Two things.

One, if not prepped right the powder coat will crack, so make sure they stand behind their work

Two, Powder coating is super sensitive to brake clean.......so make sure your coated wheels are far and away from that.

Otherwise, it's a great option

Great advice, i did not know about the brake clean thing, but makes sense!

I was considering getting a bunch of parts powder coated to match my wheels awhile back when I originally bought them. I instead went cheap and had friends father paint the stuff and that was a big mistake! He painted the color wrong and never fixed his work.
Never did pull the trigger, but making it your own is always fun.

I had a set done on my Tundra before I got my gladiator. Turned out really good and had no trouble with them. Had to spray paint the center caps due to being plastic but matched up nice.

Great advice, i did not know about the brake clean thing, but makes sense!

Yeah my local guy actually makes this customers sign a terms of agreement; because he got burned in the past

Wheels is what this place does so the finish is done correctly. They do a cleat coat over the coating so it stays nice.
