I haven’t reached out to my salesman in a little while. I felt like I was annoying him. I presume he’ll contact me when/if he sees any changes.

Thats how I felt even though I was just only checking in with him every few weeks. I was surprised when he sent me the email today without me initiating things lol.I haven’t reached out to my salesman in a little while. I felt like I was annoying him. Well, now my date is 12/11 according to my dealer...
I got word today that mine is in transit. Still showing TBD as delivery, but tracker is a bit fuzzy on being accurate. Hopefully soon.Well, now my date is 12/11 according to my dealer...
Why would they continue to make them, well "A bird in the hand is better than two in the bush". That and they don't want to sit on any E&O components that aren't being used in 24's (Dashboards, grills, gray leather interior, etc). Why would we buy a vehicle that is instantly a year old, good question. For me, its because Punk'n isn't available in 2024 and I don't want to pay even more for a 2024. I'm happy getting a truck spec'd exactly to my liking, in the color I wanted, with the 10% off MSRP deal I locked in. Plus, my intentions are not to sell it anytime soon, so I'm not really concerned about the depreciation aspect, most all vehicles are liabilities. That said, I think the same way as you. There are a lot of great deals to be had, even a few Punk'n Gladiators near me (albeit not configured how I want). In the back of my mind I can't help but to have the thoughts to just buy one of those and move on. That said, the reality is, there are TONS of 2023's on the lots, everywhere. That certainly isn't going to change much in the next month, two or three. They are offering great incentives now, but they're just going to get more and more appealing as time goes on to move these trucks to make way for 24's, so in some case, we're actually in a good spot; either our orders get filled and get exactly what we want (with some decent incentives), or we decide to cut bait, likely sacrifice a few options we wanted and snap up an AWESOME deal.We are rapidly approaching the point where we have to ask ourselves why Jeep would build a ‘23 anymore, and why we would buy a ‘23 that’s instantly a year old. I wish there was some transparency in this process. There are so many good deals to be had out there that I’d just go buy one off the lot if I knew I was never getting my order.![]()
Of course the Toledo plant voted no. ? Safe to say not the best & brightest are building these Wranglers and Gladiators.Personally I do see some light at the end of the tunnel. The strike is as good as over ( 2023 Stellantis Ratification Vote Tracker - Google Drive ), the Mobis strike that quickly popped up is done. So, they're back at work plugging away, playing catch up and slowly digging out. We're stuck in this seemingly endless line of traffic, but at least we're not at a dead stop anymore, just slowly picking up speed. They'll be cruising again in no time.
I thought the same thing:Of course the Toledo plant voted no. ? Safe to say not the best & brightest are building these Wranglers and Gladiators.
I had the same thought process. I had been waiting for Jeep to offer the Punk'n in the diesel version for a few years. They opened up a small window that allowed me to order just what I wanted. I'm happily waiting for it to arrive. I'm not worried that it is a 2023 model because I will keep it for a long time most likely. Who knows, maybe down the road Jeep will offer the Punk'n again with a better power train, but for now the diesel is what I wanted regardless of year model. Why would they continue to make them, well "A bird in the hand is better than two in the bush". Awesome to hear!!! Congrats dude, hope I'm not too far behind you!Well, I received an email from Jeep stating my JT went into production yesterday. Trackers still aren’t updated, but this is something I’ll gladly admit I was wrong about!
