This might seem like a dumb question but I'll ask anyway. I have an Overland with the outlet behind the center console but not in the truck bed. Couldn't I tap into the center console outlet and run a wire through the frame to another outlet installed in the bed? It seems like it should work based on my knowledge of household electricity but I wanted to know if I was missing something here.

It is possible to do. The problem is the inverter is only 400 watts. Since wire will have to be run anyway, it would be better to get a higher capacity inverter to use for the bed outlets.
