Yall worry about some of the strangest things.
We all get worse mpg in the winter, it's not just Maryland. Why worry about it though? Only drive in the summer? Or just accept it and drive.

Racing or Boat Fuel, or maybe Aviation Gas? Something without ethanol in it.

If you have the space, put in your own fuel tank and buy bulk. We had a 200 gallon above ground tank when I was growing up, but that was in rural Idaho.
Do not use Avgas (Aviation Fuel); even today, most AvGas contains lead and it will royally f-up a modern car. You can try race fuel, but it has a pungent and distinct smell from the exhaust and isn't supposed to be used on the road.

Leaded gas in a Pentastar would make you a candidate for a Hemi swap and fast!

Sunoco has the SS100 race fuel that's on road legal for CARB states. There used to be a station near here that sold it off the pumps. Many of their stations still have the 94 octane variant too.

Running $7+/gallon race fuel to gain back a couple mpg lost due to winter blend fuel? I'm not a mathematician but that doesn't add up to me.

No question. I was pointing out that it's out there and wider spread than folks may realize.

But end of the day the winter blends suck on every vehicle. Especially forced induction.

I live by OC MD, Any or most fossil fuel burns will suck in winter. Took the harley out with a bunch guys a few weeks back. 33F, we road 143 miles and I went through almost 2 tanks of fuel on a road glide, I have a big tank. Between cold and crappie fuel.. it was still a great ride. Thank god for heated gear. Nice train wreck 🤣🤣

Agreed. Just drive. The difference between 18 mpg and 16 mpg is a few dollars. Skip the supersize at McD's and you can make up for it.

Don’t worry it will all change in the new presidency. Gas will go back to less than $2 a gallon

There's more important things to deal with...like renaming bodies of water. That will really get egg and gas prices back down!

šŸ˜‚ Funny….. but I’m getting the same gas mileage now that I get in the summer.

šŸ¤” In the summer, I tow a 3,500lbs bass boat about every weekend. My gas mileage is between 13-14mpg. Now that it’s winter….NOT towing..I’m getting 13-14mpg. šŸ˜†

Wait...What? All this discussion of gas mileage, did I find myself on the Tacoma forum again?

When I had my 3rd gen Tacoma, I did notice a couple mpg drop during the winter. Attributed it to the winter fuel blends. Have a stock Mojave now. Used to get around 18ish, then put a topper camper on it and get 15ish. Less if I keep up with traffic on I-70. Haven't noticed any big drop in mpg's due to season change.
