I run higher RPMs - lower heat rejection that way, and less load on engine.
Note the RPM they figured the max tow to run with small tires and 4.10 ratio. They want higher RPM for less heat.

High RPM is where detonation doesn't occur.
Any thoughts as to what I was hearing? Heavily towing near the redline, it sounded like loud rattling or knocking in the engine. But it's fine at the same RPM on flat land w/o towing. And it's an RPM a bit below the rev limiter.

Most of you know I have a 2022 gladiator with eco diesel but it's having a lot of problems.
If they do a buy back I will still get a gladiator but will go with Gas 3.6.
My 16jk that I built for rock crawling has 3.6 and it does good.

I am curious what you guys that use gas models think of your rigs towing with 3.6 gas.
I have the Overland with the 3.6 and towed a 5x8 enclosed trailer from Detroit area to Winter Haven Fl. I travelled along around 70 mph.with no problem, and the trailer had furniture and other items.I was very happy even with the heavy rain I encountered!
