I’m test fitting some VERY large ARB aux lights. Do you think these will restrict airflow to the radiator enough to be a concern?

I was originally going to put them on the bumper, but the mounting posts are huge and would require me to widen the existing holes on the bumper. I’m capable of doing that, but it’s sort of a point-of-no return that I’d rather not cross.

Do you tow? Is what you tow heavy? I already know you're in a hot area.

The answer is yes, they are going to affect the airflow to the radiator and you will run warmer.

If you don't tow often in heavy traffic, shouldn't be a concern.

Thanks. I’m re-evaluating the bumper. I don’t tow, but I’d like to leave that option open.

if I were to have that bumper I would look at removing that hoop and either mounting the lights where the bar mounted or using the 2 bolts in front of the winch.

but I dont think that would be significant for airflow issues. the electric fan can pull some good airflow. maybe if you were towing heavy up hill and working the engine to the max... but for most stuff I doubt you would see any issues.

Yeah, the bumper was my first choice and I’m kind of going back to it. I don’t want to permanently modify it by widening the existing mounting holes, but I think I can fabricate some small brackets to move the lights back a couple of inches.

If all else fails, I may just drill out the holes in the bumper.
