I have a JTR with 3.5” RC spacer lift. It has RC control arm drop brackets and adjustable track bars. There is a ton of noise coming from upfront under the truck and it doesn’t ride great. I think the 2 piece design of the drop brackets is allowing them to shift and creek. Anyway I’d like to replace them with a one piece design as well as the springs with RK 3” springs. I’d also like to add a little more lift to the rear to get some rake back but not sure if I should do 3” rear springs or need more to get original rake back. Curious if this sounds good or if I’m missing something. Does the idea one 2 piece drop brackets making noise make sense? Will 3” springs lift at least 3” all the way around? I have steel bumper with a winch set to go on at same time

I had to return my Skyjacker lift due to spring damage upon arrival. Now I’m looking at the RC 3.5” spacer lift or springs. Can’t decide.

How did you like the RC spacers?

I’m not really a fan. Feel like they are always shifting and making ton of noise. I ordered RK springs to replace the stock spring RC spacer combo but haven’t swapped yet

Gotcha. I may need to do a little more research if that’s the case. I’m sure the Rock Krawler springs will be an upgrade for ya though.

I may go with the Rough Country Spring kit without the shocks then. I’ve heard good things about them (not so much the N3 shocks). I like their price points at the moment for my budget build lol. I do like the the stock ride of my Max Tow springs though….ugh decisions, decisions.

Maybe just go with smaller spacers? I was on the fence with the Rusty kit.. a lot of bang for the money and can upgrade easy.. but I got my spacer kit as a gift so went with it!

I just did the swap from 3.5" RC spacers to 3.5" Teraflex springs. Straight forward, no issues. I didn't have any issues with the spacers driving around town and what-not, but I knew I was going to be articulating more as I started to wheel more. Someone was selling used springs for $100, too good an opportunity to pass up.

My biggest fear was dropping the spring out if I dropped. after the spacer and keeping the isolator in, there was only about an inch of the factory bump stop left, which mean the coil only has to drop an inch before it falls out.

As far as ride goes, rides basically the same, but I didn't swap shocks or anything, just the springs.

I originally was gonna go with a 2.5” kit but I know I like the 3.5” look more. I already have a 1.5” level kit on and I can tell that the stance is no where near where I want it. I’m chasing this look in the picture (but Snazzberry of course). It’s a forum member’s truck but I can’t remember who’s it is. Those are 35s I believe.

I’ll maybe go up to 37s in the future when I have a second vehicle. Idk how I would feel about daily driving 37s lol. I heard it’s pretty rough.
