Must be the angle of the picture, there's about 10mm clearance at the end where it looks like it's touching. Closest touch point is 3mm at the center, but seems like plenty.

Many thanks for clarifying my friend! ... it was for sure the angle of the photo ...

Installed mine a d it’s pretty tight but manageable I think. Any idea what I can do to clean up this look? Skid plate I suppose? I sure as ____ don’t want to remove this bumper though. Looks easy on the Intertubes but not so much IRL…..at least for me anyway.

Looks good! It does seem like something's missing, and I would guess it's a skid plate. Hard to tell what you have there, the hood says Mojave but the tires say Overland? If Mojave, the factory skid plate should bolt back up as is. Any other model, I'm not sure....Need some tow hooks and you'll be cleaned up!

It’s just the Sport model. I’ll look at that plastic skid plate but frankly, for what they cost, I think I’d rather bolt something on.....as long as I don’t have to take the whole bloody thing apart again so that rules out Reaper regretfully. There are tow hooks on the bumper. JUSF hard to see since they’re black.

Sorry, totally forgot you have similar bumper ;)
and now realize what you meant with the tow hooks....duh

I looked at it and doubt the old air dam will go on, it really isn’t a skid plate on mine, maybe on yours it works. I’m gonna reach out to Reaper and get their advice. I’m not taking the bumper off; worst case, I’ll get something fabricated locally as there’s several connection points down there.

I dont have their bumper, but I do have the Immortal Skid Plate by Reaper. This thing is SWEET. The way it installs is pretty slick, nut plates in the frame rails and using existing fastener points on the vehicle. I did NOT have to remove my front bumper or do any drilling etc to install this.

I DID spray it down with some Raptor bedliner before install to get the red accent, but I am super happy with this thing. Definitely want to show some love for these guys. USA made, quick communication, Ive chatted with them on Insta, etc.

Seriously? That is awesome and in fact, I might steal that idea painting it; looks sweet. I’ll order it straight away.

Honestly, this thing is great. I wanted to ditch the plastic one that came with the truck, but was kicking myself for not doing it before the bumper swap.. it was great that I didnt have to screw with the bumper to install this later on.

Found another picture from the install that I have attached below. This thing fits like a glove - the brackets and everything were all super precise, there wasnt a bunch of slop or adjustment to get everything where it needed to be. Im really happy with it.

Nice. I just got under the truck and see exactly where the attachment points lie; should be fairly easy, even for me!

I have the same bumper. It is tight to the grill, but not touching. Factory fogs and skid plate work fine with it. I actually ordered the skidplate as well but they were out of stock long enough I canceled the order.

I also put the Smittybuilt 10k X2O winch on it. It's pretty tight, I had to ziptie the wiring so it wouldn't rub on the grill. The whole thing is a little weighty, but I love this one.

Nice. I'll have to order a skid plate because mine is just a sheet of plastic. It seems to lack connection points found on the old bumper so it's pretty much junk to me. Yours looks great; gotta get a winch.

That Raptor bedliner looks really nice but after seeing their video, doubt I can pull that off; lack the tools. I may try to find someone who can do it or just paint it.

I did, install was fairly easy. No modification was needed to the skid plate. I liked the look and it's pretty solid and beefy. I'm very pleased and recommend!

Love this bumper, ready to pull the trigger on one for my Mojave. Did you have to remove the skid plate for the install?? thanks!
