I don't "T" them together - I run each independently. yes you have to fill two to the same pressure and when lowering the pressure later, you have to do two of them, but there was always this bit about - if carrying a load and the weight shifts, will air from one migrate to the other through a T and so on. I just prefer it this way.

How do people who use that method handle license plate swaps when the time comes?

I've wondered about one of those retainer ring things to hold the fitting in place, while taking the nut off swapping plates.

This is a non issue for me because I've installed my own license plates for the last 40+ years. I am not worried about someone else messing up my air bag air fill fittings.

If you look at the air fitting supplied by Air Lift you'll see the fitting at the hose barb end is larger than the threaded body. I drilled out a mounting hole just a few thousands of an inch larger than the threaded body. When I tightened the mounting nuts that also hold the license plate it pulled the large end of the fitting into the drilled hole creating an interference fit.

I don't worry about others, just wondering if there's any risk of that falling behind when you remove the plate.
Yeah, I've done my own plates since age 14 when my parents insisted I have my own car, pay my own gas, insurance and upkeep. But these days with the tremors in my hands, it's so easy to drop stuff or lose a grip.

You may see how I did these on my prior JT - the Overland, with this Mojave, I was hoping to not drill anything and I've been interested in the methods, pretty much like what you did.
I've got the air bags ready to go, just need help putting them in since I now find that even laying under a car/truck makes me dizzy and sick. Can't handle more than 2 or 3 minutes tops. I'm falling apart!

Yeah, I was hoping to avoid drilling out the license plate screw holes, doing so being irreversible, but in my mind this ended up being the cleanest install.

There's no risk in these falling out behind the bumper if I change out the license plate due to the interference fit I achieved. There is some risk of them coming out the from the license plate side of the bumper if someone wanted to steal my license plate and used force and a pry bar.

That's one way to do it........... you have it both ways.
That's how I did mine. I open the crossover ball valve, pressurize the 2 airbags through my 1 shrader valve, then close the ball valve. This minimizes the opportunity for sway when hauling or towing. But when unladen and the bags are only inflated to 3psi, I keep the ball valve open so pressure can transfer from side-to-side and not affect articulation or ride quality. This worked on my JK for 10 years and has been great on my Gladiator for 3 years.
