Good morning fellas, I'm looking for side protection mostly from rocks/debris from front tires. Would like something light weight (aluminum) and tucked up high on rockers. I don't need side steps or rock sliders, just some body protection. Any recommendations that aren't $1,000?

VKS or motobilt

I have VKS and happy with them- though I think they closed shop earlier this year…. Motobuilt would be my alternative. Both frame mounted. ???

For debris, I just ordered rockblox. Not cheap at $275- but I think they are one of the better in terms of coverage out there…. And the removable is nice.

If you're looking for protection from debris coming from the front tires, I would think mud flaps would be the answer.

Rocker guards/steps are more for protection from elements coming from the side or directly under in some cases, as well as the obvious - help getting into the Jeep.

I second RokBlokz. You have to maintain the hardware (remove using PB Blaster, reattach with anti-seize) a couple of times a year if you live in the salt belt, but I love 'em! I've had them since 2019.
