Red light flashing

I have a 2022 Gladiator. Something my Wife noticed yesterday - when she locked the door and got out of the Jeep she noticed a red light blinking. The light is located just to the right of the green left turn signal arrow. When you unlock the Jeep it goes out. I'm guessing it is a light to let you know the alarm system is armed. The owner's manual is no help. Could this be something that's always been there and we are now just noticing it? I bought the Jeep new in Feb. 2022 & it has about 4100 miles on it. The light stays blinking until you unlock it. Any help would be appreciated. Thank, smittykid.

Yes it's the alarm indicator. It's possible to close and lock the doors without the alarm being set, so watch for the blinking light to be sure.

(For example, if you close the driver's door but it doesn't quite latch, then you push it all the way closed, the alarm does not seem to set.)
