Full assemblies are typically all lapped in and pretty much ready to go after a short period of "normal driving, light loads".
No one buying a new car or truck, or having a full differential/axle replacement would put up with the cycles needed to "break in" new replacement years - they leave the factory ready to drive.
Replacement gears are usually a different animal and require different procedures.
