So my guess is they are are bridging the normally open contacts of this relay and maybe disconnecting the coil. Turns the relay into a jumper plug.
That seems a simple enough solution to constant 12vdc at the accessory socket.

I get that - just wondering if it was a DIY hack or available to buy already modified. No need to modify the relay if you can just slip a jumper in the relay location.

Place jumper across where pin 30 & 87 plug into, or solder a wire across these pins on a relay and reinsert.

So does anyone know for sure that this solely powers up just the 12v socket or does anything else come into play?
