I just ordered a bed rack from Rockslide engineering. For some reason, I can't find much information on them. Does anyone have one installed and can provide some real world feedback?

I’m interested in this as well, I like the look of their rack and it’s on my short list. Interested in your feedback once you get yours installed.

Got the rack installed. It's pretty good. I installed some brackets backwards and bent 3 of the 4 pistons for the sides....but contacted rockslide and they are sending me new ones no charge. Customer service A+! Enough room to mount 2 rotopax on one side. Had to mount my traction boards inside the bed because too big for the sides. But solid rack! Now gotta get roll-up tonneau

Only downside ...so many nuts and bolts! Give yourself a whole afternoon for this beast. It's not a one hour and it's done kind of rack! Almost felt like I was putting together a Lego set, so that's a plus for me!

Thanks for following up and adding the pictures, it does look great. They mention the ability to easily remove the cross member for using the bed with tall items, how easy is that in practice and how much does that affect the stability of the unit?

It's a solid rack. Gonna do a post soon once I get everything mounted. I didn't drive it at all without the cross member, but it seemed solid when putting it together. It's held on with 2 bolts on each sides. Does look pretty easy to remove and I will be as soon as I am done with the rooftop for the summer.

Is it really a lot wider than the bed, or is that an optical illusion?
It is wider. I don't know if I love that, but think it's to have a roll up tonneau as well. One of my complaints is that I can't put my traction boards on the outside because it blocks the rubber locks that hold the sides down. Had to mount in bed, preventing me from being able to add a tonneau cover.

How has this been working out? I'm about to pull the trigger, but thought I would check in.

That, right there, is a major issue. I was seriously looking at buying this until reading your review.

It works....it's sitting on the side of my house right now. Works to mount my tent. Makes it easy to reach into my bed, but when I mount my 3 gal rotopax, makes it hard to see in my mirrors on freeway. Removed tent for the summer and took off crossbars. I would not mount anything on the side without the crossbars because feels rather flimsy. Overall I like the look, took it rock crawling and it's very sturdy with crossbars attached. IDK if I would buy again or not....kinda on the fence about it.
