Hey Everybody,

I'm relatively new on here and this is my first post, so hopefully I don't say anything that seems foolish. I am also new to the Jeep family with my Gladiator being my first.

I was hoping for some peoples experiences with sizes on the RokBlokz flaps. I currently have the stock overland wheels and tires and would like to keep the overland wheels as I think they look really good. I would however someday like to upgrade to some slightly larger (and more aggressive) tires. I really want to get the flaps on before this winter though and am leaning toward the XL (not longs) so my wheels can grow into them.

How silly will my stock wheels/tires look with the large XL flaps in the meantime?

Do the regulars seem to be plenty big for even larger than stock tires?

Any previous experiences would help.

Thanks!

They are really big! I have a Mojave with larger tires and wanted coverage but not at the expense of huge mudflaps, I went with regular long, or original long and am very plessed with results, went on easy, great product.

I do like the way that size looks on yours. Thanks for posting pictures also! What made you decide to go with the longs over regular length?

Well figure bit longer will protect back farther, Mojave on 33” tires sits pretty high, they will be the widest tires I ever run, and I have an 800 foot stone driveway going up a pretty good hill to my home, and figured these AT tires would throw stones and chip body and rear fenders , and they do pick up and throw stones so seems to work. Price for the rear flaps was a lot and not sure they were needed, I’ll see how the Pa. salt gets up there before deciding. I did not want the wide bulky look and thought I would probably trim this size shorter but they are a good size and they are easiily removed if I ever feel the need to do extreme off roading. I did get rear lower control arm skid plates already as my mild 4 wheeling might drag them. Rockbloks customer service was great, the first flap to install took longer but I did a step wrong second one took five minutes tops. Small thing but the logos on the flap are avalible in different colors, but not orange to match the Mojave accents, on the order I wrote it would be neat to be able to get orange if possible, two days later I get a message saying”We can do orange you want it?”, I replied sure thanks great, their reply was “ great they are in the shipping box now going out in a few minutes”, it was a small ,small thing but it pops and looks great!......Jack

The orange accents are a nice touch. I was planning on going with the red accents since my truck is red. I also think you may have talked me down to the regulars. I just wonder how long the longs really will seem while I still have my stock tires.

Did you go to the rokbloks site they have a comaprison sizing pictures, the longs are not really that much longer, you are running 18" rims, but bumping up a tire size or so but not getting real wide the regular longs will work. Thanks for bringing this up, saw pictures of the rear with out flaps and with on in another thread , and i'm leaning towards getting the reguler original size for the rear , salt in Pa. just sucks!......Jack

Bump for BOBCHADWICKGA!
I have a Mojave and went with regular longs on front and regulars on rear. Rears are expensive, but in my case more so as I bought the fronts first then later realized they help much less then front but do help......Jack
PS: search function will bury you with posts about flaps and sizes.

I have a Mojave and got the long/wide for the front only.

I am very happy with my decision.

I used to get mud and crap up the side of the truck just driving on road.
In contrasts, I was off road this weekend, just a bit and went through a large muddy puddle with the doors off and cringed as I hit it. Nothing came anywhere near me.

The fronts are a no brainer and are what you want unless you are an OCD type.

1) Fronts are much less money.
2) Fronts go on in 10 minutes rather than an hour.
3) 95% of the crap your tires throw up on the truck comes from the front tires. This mess up the side of the truck was (no joke) from a muddy puddle at the mall.

This is the only part of the truck that gets hit by spray from the rear tires. Hardly worth the effort. Look just in front of the rear bumper.

I got long/wide because they were all the same price and I figured I'd trim mine with a jig saw if I wanted them shorter/narrower. I was afraid the long/wide would look ridiculous. But they dont'. And I get a ton of protection. And don't forget that they can be removed without tools if you are doing any serious off roading in about 3 minutes.

Thanks. I did a search but nothing came up. I may have misspelled the name.

I'm thinking regular/long but will read some of these other posts before making a final decision.
