Roof rack for a canoe?

I bought a 17' cedar plank canoe. Looking for the best way to carry it. Ideas?

Unless you have a full rack or something else going on. I have one of these and love it for temporary use, usually for getting long lumber boards home

Don’t hit the hwy with a boat attached to rain gutter style roof racks. I’ve seen them rip off. They aren’t designed for that much lift.
