I use the Thule Aero bars, a lot quieter than the round or square. If I want to carry a longer boat I use a Yakama hitch extender...
Check your clamps often, mine move after a few thousand miles.

Olde Schoole Yakima round bar gutter mounts are absolutely bulletproof.

The bars I bought in college in 1989 are now on the roof of my wife's car!!!

The gutter mount towers aren't in use now. But the 33 year old ski rack is.

I just ordered some EEZI-AWN K9 Load Bars from www.equipt1.com for my Gladiator. They also have a sweet looking rack as well. Looks well-made and rugged as hell

Not sure, haven’t tried any cargo racks. Every kayak carrier so far has fit.
