I've removed mine several times and had no issues. I did notice after the first time I replaced it there was a rattle, which was fixed my completely tightening the bolts.
Last summer mine had a rattle after putting the panels back in. Then my wife suggested I move my sunglass that were sitting on the dash. Rattle solved. Dang, that girl is good at finding squeaks and rattles.

Removed mine several times (Hotheads installation, courtesy light installation, Heigh10 installation) and no leaking issues (and I live in FL). Always torque to spec. And I'm sure this is just an old man thing, but I installed some larger fender washers on all the bolts - maybe it helps, maybe not.

I was informed once that it would not be smart to remove the roof on a Gladiator/ Wrangler because once the seal is broken it will never go back on the same. Does anybody have experience with this or was this bad info?
My freedom top leaks and its never been off.
