This past week I’ve developed a noise I’m trying investigate and looking for ideas of what it could be. The best way I can put it is that it sounds like rubber against metal.

2022 Willys, 6,300 miles, stock tires and suspension, no lift

Conditions:
- it starts when turning sharp at slow speed, either direction
- continues when you straighten out and goes away above 20mph
- happens first drive of the morning
- morning temps have been between 60-70
- can reproduce it for about 5 miles and then goes away
- can’t reproduce after that first drive for the rest of the day

Time stamps of sounds in video:
0:04-0:23
0:40-1:00
1:10-1:40
1:43-1:52

Any ideas?

This is becoming an epidemic and should be a pinned thread!

Check the fluid level in your rear diff.......If it's good, add a tube of friction modifier. Or better yet, change the fluid adding a tube of modifier regardless of whether or not the bottle says its for limited slip axles to get rid of the break in metals.
