I just ordered a 2021 JTR and it should be delivered in June. I have spent HOURS reading through the forums and searching online, and keep getting conflicting information on the height / suspension on the Rubicon (compared to the other models). My goal is to "almost" level it out because I would still like to have a 1in rake (for towing and hauling purposes).

I will only be upgrading to 35's and getting new Black Rhino's 17x9 with 4.5 backspacing.

Considering: Mopar 2in, Clayton Leveling Kit, RC 2.5in Kit or Teraflex Leveling kit. But it looks like I will need to also get some spacers for the rear.

JTR Usage: Daily Driver, Weekend hauler (building materials, yard stuff, and baseball equipment), and with the rare occasion I get free time...trails.

Any advice?

With 35’s you won’t need more than a spacer in the front to negate some of the rake.

I am looking for quality and longevity, so I have been reluctant to go the spacer route...

You seem pretty realistic in your uses.
The most extreme I’d recommend would be the mopar lift.

Gets you 2” higher. (Which I believe is how it should have come stock)
It is factory quality parts.
Pretty minimalistic and the installation reflects this.
Shouldn’t have any warranty affect.

I found the ride in mine to remain plush but closer to “euro-firm”.

Wirh 2”, you can
always go up to 37” tires in the future.

PS 35s fit stock
PSS 35s look better with a 2” lift.

I'm also considering the Mopar lift but am a little confused about the actual height increase to expect. The 2" rated lift is for a stock Sport, right? So the Rubicon, already being higher than the Sport, will not be lifted a full 2"? More like 1" - 1.25". Seems like a pretty subtle change for the $.

The Clayton kit is a great option since it comes with adjustable control arms and track bar. You'd likely need to up a bit in the rear to keep some rake though, 1.5" will take all the rake out. Maybe run some .75" spacers in the rear...
