Living in the midwest rust belt, I've been wanting to put something on my JT undercarriage to help prevent rust. My frame looks pretty decent, some light surface rust - and I've been thinking of using these products to help prevent further spread:

I'm looking for something relatively cheap that will be easy to spray/apply and not make an entire mess in my garage.

I know fluid film / wool wax seem to be the gold standard - but that stuff seems so messy - and it sounds like it'll slowly come off with frequent car washes (which I get here weekly in Wisconsin).

I know the rust-oleum isn't 100% bomb proof, but I would assume its better than nothing?

Thanks.

Okay, that black fluid film is interesting. But it sounds messy.

I've had good luck with Eastwood's spray on frame paints with other vehicles. However, I did use rustoleum to touch up the spots on my frame that had scratches from delivery, etc. and they're still looking good 2 years later.
