My son just purchased a 2020 Gladiator Rubicon. Very nice truck with plenty of upgrades. Well one upgrade we font really like is the Safari snorkel that someone cut the hood to install. I’ve been searching for threads on deleting the snorkel and have contacted the manufacturer (ARB) and many other places looking for options on what to do with the hole in the hood. Any help would seriously be appreciated. Anyone with the same color truck and hood looking to add a snorkel want to swap?

I would wait a bit and see if it still bothers you. Our trails in the desert are very dusty. I've considered getting one just to give the air filter a fighting chance. Check Offer Up , Craigslist etc for a hood, I'm sure one will pop up eventually.

I’m definitely going to watch out for one. We are in Maryland so we really haven’t a need for it. The truck was just too good of a deal to pass up. We do go 4 wheeling and go on the beach on the Outter Banks but nothing that requires a snorkel.

Is that granite crystal? Coincidentally, several OEM Rubicon hoods in what looks like that color popped up on my EBay feed today. The lowest price was about a grand with freight included. Likely you could sell your snorkel-equipped hood for at least that.

If that was a diesel snorkel and hood, I'd trade with you. I'm in the VA Bch area.

I like snorkels. They are functional and stylish.

EXCEPT that one!

Good lord, that HUGE, hideous, bulging thing looks like the alien just finished gestating under your hood and is bursting forth!!

Really, ARB? For shame…..

I can see why it's not wanted. :puke: That thing could support having a forced air system on it, like a Roots blower for a big block. I can guess why the good deal on it. How much wind noise on hwy? It would drive me nuts to be seeing that while driving.

So Please any company making a snorkel for a vehicle make it tasteful and compliment the vehicle. My hack job on my XJ looks better than that.... It was just for use not giving two $###$ for looks.

It is pretty quiet up until about 50mph and then it makes a lot of noise. And it’s ugly as hell!
